CFC50 Weekend Watch (5): Rivalry week across Canada, head to head matchups

Around the country, there are some great matchups happening between CFC50 high school teams. Here is a look at what you can expect this weekend.

No. 7 South will take on No. 36 A.B Lucas in our previewed CFC50 Game of the Week. This is a long lived traditional rivalry in which neither teams wants to be on the losing end of the stick.

Other terrific matchups this weekend include No. 6 New Westminster Hyacks taking on the No. 32 South Delta Sun Devils. No. 11 Terry Fox will face No. 22 Lord Tweedsmuir, and No. 31 Vancouver College will take on No. 42 Mount Douglas. Any one of these games will be a good one to catch as any of these teams can easily win the provincial championship any given season.

In Calgary, No. 17 Henry Wise Wood will take on No. 21 Notre Dame in another game that calls ‘friends off’ and further in the south of Alberta, No. 23 Raymond with take on No. 41 L.C.I.

Back in Ontario, we have No. 28 Huron Heights playing against No. 29 St. Marcellinus. That will be a game to keep your eye on as well as No. 13 Lorne Park taking on No. 37 St. Roch.

No. 20 Cure-Antoine-Labelle will take on the No. 50 College Notre-Dame in Quebec while No. 39 Citadel will face NR CP Allen who is the other leader in the division 1 league in Nova Scotia.
