CFC50 Weekend Watch (10): NB provincial champion to be crowned, SK city finals get underway

Around the country, there are some great matchups happening between CFC50 high school teams. Here is a look at what you can expect this weekend.

Heading into the last week of regular season play across the country for most provinces, many teams have already secured a first round bye. A couple leagues are already into their first round of playoffs.

We are into playoffs, some even playing their provincial final. There are some great matchups around the county this weekend that you will want to catch if you can get out to them.

Saskatchewan is on fire with the city finals being played by all four CFC50 teams. Holy Cross will face Centennial for bragging right in Saskatoon and Leboldus will go up against Miller for a third time to get the keys to the city. The winners of this game will go on to play for the provincial championship.

In Alberta LCI and Raymond will go head to head. This is always a tough, competitive game between these two teams. Just across the Rocks, Vancouver College and Notre Dame will face each other and Mount Doug and New Westminster will go head to head. Both these games are anyone’s day, but we predict VC will come out on top of theirs.

Out in the marshes of New Brunswick, the provincial champion will be crowned as Tantramar will play Riverview. We think Tantramar will be on their way to another consecutive provincial title.
