No. 2 W. F. Herman Green Griffins (5-0) v. No. 15 Holy Names Knights (5-0)
Thursday, October 20th at 7:00pm
This heavyweight showdown will not be for the faint of heart, as the Herman Green Griffins take on the Holy Names Knights with first place in the WECSSAA division on the line. If you are trying to decipher who the better team might be, a simple look at the stats and standings wonā€™t get you very far. Both teams have displayed stout defences, with Herman allowing zero points so far this season, while Holy Names has allowed a measly six. Offence hasnā€™t been an issue either, with the Griffins averaging 42.2 points per game, while the Knights are clocking in a notch below at 40.6 per game. What about playmakers? Yep, both squads have that covered too. Holy Names boasts a roster full of talent led by #CFC100 Incho Choi, Zach Herzog and Marcus Williams-Cooper, while Herman stacks up with a three headed monster of their own consisting of #CFC100 Quintin Seguin, Branden McCraney and Michael Beale. With essentially nothing separating these two squads, this contest is shaping up to be one of the most competitive games the country has seen all season.

No. 4 A. N. Myer Marauders (4-0) v. Sir Winston Churchill (3-0)
Friday, October 21st at 3:00pm
A Churchill defence who has allowed just seven points in their first three games will have their work cut out for them as they go up against the always potent A. N. Meyer Marauders. The past few weeks have gone off without a hitch for Meyer who have enjoyed victories of 47-13, 57-13 and 50-0, but with first place up for grabs, they will need to come prepared versus an unbeaten Churchill team. After seeing minimal action the past two weeks in blowout victories, look for the #CFC100 brother duo of Tre and Tyrell Ford to have a huge impact on the outcome of this game.

No. 8 Cardinal Newman Cardinals (5-0) v. Bishop Ryan (3-2)
Friday, October 21st at 7:00pm
Newman looks to remain unbeaten as they take on #CFC100 Jacob Patten and the Bishop Ryan Celtics this week. With a matchup versus #CFC50 St. Thomas More on the horizon, look for the Cardinals to put the pedal to the metal as they prepare to stake their claim as the team to beat in Hamilton. Keep your eyeballs on Newmanā€™s backfield tandem of Nicholas Petermann and Joey DiLabbio, who are capable of busting a long run at any given time.

No. 12 St. Roch Ravens (5-0) v. Meadowvale (0-4)
Friday, October 21st at 12:00pm
There shouldnā€™t be any turbulence for the Ravens this week as they take on a winless team from Meadowvale. Meadowvale will need to keep their head on a swivel with St. Roch benefiting from multiple players stepping up in their first four wins, while senior quarterback Deandre Rose has been a technician running the offence.

No. 13 Huron Heights Warriors (4-0) v. Bill Crothers (3-1)
Friday, October 21st at 5:00pm
It will be another tough divisional matchup for Huron Heights this week when they take on the streaking Bill Crothers Colts. Winners of three straight games after dropping their season opener 14-11 to the #CFC50 St. Max Mustangs, the Colts present a sneaky challenge for the Warriors who hope their offence will be able to carry the momentum from a 62 point performance last week. Players to watch for Huron Heights will be quarterback Colin Grant on offence, and #CFC100 Danny McWhirter on defence.

No. 14 St. Thomas More Knights (4-1) v. St. Jean Brebeuf (0-4)
Friday, October 21st at 2:00pm
St. Thomas More looks ripe for their fifth straight win taking on a winless team from St. Jean Brebeuf. It has been a pick your poison type of game for the Knightsā€™ opponents so far this season, with new players stepping up each week to play a role on the scoreboard. With quarterback Zach Odoardi leading the aerial attack, #CFC100 Michael Chris-Ike controlling the ground game, and with breakout star Edgerrin Williams doing damage in all three phases – Brebeuf will be in for a long day trying to find a way to slow this juggernaut down.

No. 16 Jacob Hespeler Hawks (3-0) v. Bluevale (1-2)
Thursday, October 20th at 7:00pm
Flying high coming off a 47-0 win over Cameron Heights, the Hawks look to sink their talons into Bluevale this week who have had a shaky start to the season. With four different players finding the endzone last week versus Cameron Heights, Hespeler has slowly developed one of the most well rounded offences in the country led by Devante Hudson, Darrian Morgan and Chris Wahl.

No. 19 Nelson Lords (5-0) v. 29. Holy Trinity Titans (4-0)
Wednesday, October 19th at 3:30pm
In our highly anticipated #CFC50 game of the week, the Nelson Lords get set to lock horns with their rivals from Oakville the Holy Trinity Titans. There is plenty more than just bragging rights on the line – although those are important too – but with both teams vying for first place in the division, this game should bring out the best out of all involved. Players to watch on both sides will be Will Corby and quarterback Jared Currie for Nelson, while Holy Trinity will rely on quarterback Kurtis Rourke to find a way to get playmakers Tevin Doyley, Lex Jeffrey and Blaze Cervocec involved in the action.

No. 21 Catholic Central Crusaders (3-1) v. St. Andre Bessette (2-1)
Friday, October 21st at 8:00pm
With the addition of a now healthy Derek Aubin – who scored a touchdown in his return last week in a 25-0 win over St. Thomas Aquinas – Catholic Central are feeling fresh heading into their matchup versus St. Andre Bessette. Some players to watch will be Matthew McGillvray catching passes from Jake Beukeboom, and #CFC100 Daniel Valente roaming around on defence.

No. 22 South Lions (3-1) v. H. B. Beal (1-2)
Friday, October 21st at 1:00pm
After back to back 35-0 mercy wins, the South Lions look to remain atop the division with another win over H. B. Beal. Led by quarterback Ethan Martin, the Lionsā€™ offence should spread the ball around showing off their versatility, while the defence and special teamsā€™ unit hope to get in on the scoring action once again.

No. 23 Denis Morris Reds (4-0) v. Holy Cross (0-4)
Wednesday, October 19th at 3:00pm
The Reds look to remain undefeated taking on a Holy Cross team who find themselves in the basement of the division after their first four games. Watch for quarterback Travis Arp and a strong group of receivers featuring Cam Calder, Hayden Riley and Dylan Warnock to do some damage, while on defence look for halfback Mike Domanico and linebacker Jack Andrews to be on mop up duty making tackles all over the field.

No. 26 Corpus Christi Longhorns (5-0) v. Loyola (3-1)
Thursday, October 20th at 2:00pm
Corpus Christi will face a challenge for their division lead this week when they take on the Loyola Hawks, who are coming off their first loss of the season. Look for the Longhorns to be firing on all cylinders after a 52 point outburst last week versus Frank Hayden.

No. 27 Superior Heights Steelhawks (6-0) v. White Pines (0-6)
Thursday, October 20th at 4:15pm
Itā€™s playoff time in the Soo as the unbeaten Superior Heights Steelhawks take on the winless White Pines Wolverines in semi-final action. If there was ever a time for their first win, this game would be pretty good timing, but look for quarterback Noah Griggs and receiver Kristian Shuttleworth to pave the way for a Steelhawks victory.

No. 28 Etobicoke Rams (5-0)
Bye week

No.32 Westdale Warriors (4-0) v. Waterdown (1-3)
Thursday, October 20th at 7:00pm
Flaunting a flawless record after four league games, Westdale hope to keep a clean sheet this week going up against Waterdown. Watch for Tristan Phipps to have a big day for the Warriors.

No. 35 St. Joan of Arc Knights (3-0) v. St. Peterā€™s (2-1)
Friday, October 21st at 2:30pm
Coming off a non-conference game last week versus Banting, Joan of Arc hopes to remain sharp taking on a prideful group from St. Peterā€™s. The Knights defence will be searching for their fourth straight shutout in league play against a St. Peterā€™s team who has not surpassed 21 points all season.

No. 41 St. Marcellinus Spirit (3-1) v. St. Marguerite dā€™Youville (3-1)
Friday, October 21st at 2:15pm
St. Marcellinus bursts onto the #CFC50 scene this week after a huge win over the formerly ranked Lorne Park Spartans. There will be little time to celebrate however, as the Spirit now get set to take on a strong group from St. Marguerite dā€™Youville who have allowed just 37 points all season. After rushing for three touchdowns last week, look for running back Kevin Wong to play an integral role on offence for the Spirit.

No. 42 Frontenac Falcons (4-0) v. La Salle (3-1)
Tuesday, October 18th at 1:30pm
Just squeaking by Holy Cross in a 25-22 victory last week, Frontenac will be in for another trying day taking on a gritty team from La Salle.

No. 43 St. James Lions (5-0) v. Our Lady of Lourdes (1-3)
Friday, October 21st at 3:00pm
With top spot in the District 10 locked up and a first round bye clinched, St. James look to end their season on a high note versus Our Lady of Lourdes. Some players of note for St. James who have helped them get this far are Tanner Nelmes, Matt Prevett and Vincent Garbuio, who all found the endzone last week in a 30-22 win over Centennial.

No. 46 St. Peter Knights (3-1) v. St. Mark (0-3-1)
Friday, October 21st at 3:00pm
St. Peter will be hunting for a much needed win over St. Mark with first place still up for grabs in the Nationā€™s Capital. With the season series point differential between themselves and St. Matthew being just a single point, all St. Peter has to do is win out to clinch first place.

No. 47 St. Benedict Saints (3-1) v. Resurrection (1-3)
Thursday, October 20th at 2:30pm
In what has become a revolving door in the District 8 division this season, St. Benedict has emerged onto the #CFC50 rankings with a shot to take control of one of the most unpredictable regions in the province. Holding on has proven to be tough in the D8, and with Resurrection coming off their first win of the season, expect this game to be more competitive than the records indicate.

No. 50 St. Maximilian Kolbe Mustangs (2-1) v. Villanova College (0-2-1)
Friday, October 21st at 1:30pm
After having a week off to readjust following a heartbreaking 14-11 loss to #CFC50 Huron Heights, St. Max look to get back in the win column taking on Villanova College.
