When you live near the ocean, it can be hard to pack up and leave the magnificent body of water behind for university. But, if youā€™re likeĀ #CFC100Ā Marcus Browne, a receiver from Holy Cross Regional High School who committed to the University of British Columbia, you will continue to call the coastal shore your home.

Browne currently lives in White Rock, British Columbia, which is south of Surrey. He will have a bit of a trek to reach the UBC campus. It can be found straddling the Pacific coast on the north-western tip of Vancouver.

“UBC has a really good football program. It’s close to home and my brother goes to the school,” he said.

“They have a really good coaching staff. I am very excited to work with Coach Nill and the rest of the coaches,” he added.

The young receiver currently plays for the Holy Cross Crusaders in the BC Secondary Schools Football Association. The 6ā€™4, 195lbsĀ football player was also a BC High School Football Provincial Defensive Back All-Star in 2015. In 2016, he was a AA Provincial All-star receiver.
