CFC Prospect Game commit ready to get to work with Alberta

The Golden Bears welcome an out-of-province commit to their 2020 class.

CFC100 Sean Lozada, a defensive tackle from Bishop James Mahoney High School, is heading across provincial borders after signing with the University of Alberta Golden Bears.

“I committed to the school because they really showed an interest towards me not just as a player but as a student as well,” Lozada said. “I think the staff is a very good recruiting staff. They brought in a lot of great players that I’ve played against before.”

While with the Bishop James Mahoney Saints (SHSAA), Lozada was named as the most outstanding grade 11 in 2018 and the most outstanding lineman in 2019. He was also a 5A provincial champion in 2018 and a two-time 5A city champion in 2018 and 2019. Lozada had the chance to represent his school at the inaugural CFC Prospect Game on TSN as well, where he helped Team Burris secure a victory over Team Dunigan.

Standing at 6’0, 240lbs, he is interested in taking the education program. His goal is to teach physical education, catholic studies, or social studies.
