The 6’6″, 285lbs offensive tackle traveled a long road beginning in Nova Scotia where he played for the Auburn Drive Eagles, then transferred to Clarkson in 2018 with the intentions of gaining NCAA exposure. Stevens also participated in the CFC100 Combine series during his time in Ontario when he was still primarily playing defensive line, and made waves with a string of U Sports offers before earning his first NCAA offer from Toledo on June 4th.

Eventually he ended up with eight offers on the board including fellow MAC programs Buffalo and Northern Illinois, but couldn’t resist the desire to build something special at Eastern Michigan,

“It feels like home, that is why I chose it. All the coaches have a great connection with me and they recruited me in the way I imagined being recruited would feel like. The love and support they have shown me on a daily basis, and the strong relationship I have built with O-Line Coach Patton and Head Coach Chris Creighton is something that I didn’t have with any other school that offered me.”

“I can guarantee you will see me on the CFC40 NCAA Rankings very soon. Eastern Michigan and I are going to be doing big things with a MAC Championship in our future.”

Stevens is the 15th Canadian to announce his NCAA commitment from the Class of 2020, and will be joining former FPC punter Jake Julien with the Eagles.
