In a statement posted to social media, Goods explained his thought process along the way,
“I want to say thank you to everyone and all teams that were willing to invest time in me during this recruiting process. I want to also thank my mom who has been my inspiration throughout my entire life. I also want to thank everyone in the city of Fort McMurray who has supported me throughout this journey. With that said, I want to announce that I will be completely closing my recruitment and committing to the University of Florida.”
Goods began his high school days playing at Father Mercredi in Fort McMurray before transferring to St. Thomas More School last season, and the move paid off with Power 5 offers from the likes of Georgia, Tennessee, Wisconsin, Michigan State, Virginia Tech, Virginia and West Virginia.
