CFC100 excited for ‘winning atmosphere’ of UBC

The Thunderbirds bring in an out-of-province commit to their Class of 2017.

CFC100 Kale Berglund, a defensive end from Ernest Manning High School, will be looking to add some titles to his collection after signing with the University of British Columbia Thunderbirds.

“I chose to commit because I felt like UBC was the right place for me, and I loved the winning atmosphere given off by Blake Nill and the rest of the team,” Berglund said.

University is a time of change. Berglund is ready to embrace that fact. “Blake Nill is a very respectable coach and I am very excited to have him and Coach Pat Tracey help me grow as a person and a football player,” he said.

Towering at 6’5, 225lbs, the product of Calgary, Alberta, is interested in taking business with the aspiration of reaching law school. In his career, he played with the Calgary Wildcats and the Ernest Manning Griffins (Calgary High School Athletic Association). He was a two-time league all-star in 2016. He has also been nominated for and won lineman of the year an defensive MVP throughout his high school and club football career.

Advocating for football prospects one story at a time.
