#CFC100: Claypool set to announce TODAY (VIDEO)

After weeks of speculation, #CFC100 2016 number 2 ranked Chase Claypool will unveil his decision of where he will continue his gridirion career.

The 6’5, 203 pound athlete from Abbottsford, British Columbia offered the news via twitter this week that he will make it official on ESPN while he is at The Opening, which is an elite event which the top high school prospects converge in Beaverton, Oregon to compete inĀ linemen, 7-on-7 and SPARQ testingĀ competitions.

Claypool has received more than 12 NCAA offers including ones from Arizona Wildcats (May 8th), Mississippi State Bulldogs (May 5thĀ ā€“ first SEC offer), Nebraska Huskers (May 4th), Washington Huskies (May 1st), Oregon Ducks on April 24, Rice Owls (April 15), Nevada Wolfpack, Rutgers, Utah, San Diego State,Ā University of Michigan Wolverines (May 21st) and Washington State Cougars (May 21st).

However, several media outlets south of the border have indicated that Claypool will choose between Oregon, Notre Dame, Michigan or Rutgers.

This summer, theĀ CFC #2Ā ranked player has been participating in 7 on 7 events, Sound Mind Sound Body Football Academy in Dakota as well as taking in official visits to Michigan and Michigan State.

Claypool has suited up for Abbotsford Collegiate Panthers of the British Columbia High School Football Association (BCHSFA).

Of note – should Claypool signs with Michigan; he will be the first Canadian since 2007 to opt for the NCAA school. The last to sign there was Montrealer Ronaldo Sagesse.
