CFC100 brings talents to Laurier

Golden Hawks bring in a highly-touted commit to their Class of 2017.

CFC100 Kavantye Bailey, a receiver from Trinity College, will be flying with the Sir Wilfrid Laurier Golden Hawks this September and beyond.

“I chose to commit to Laurier because the team was more like a family than just a team,” Bailey said. “The coaching staff is great across the board. All the coaches know what they want and are working to achieve these goals, especially Head Coach Faulds.”

Hailing from Toronto, Ontario, he began his career out west in Alberta where be played for the Calgary Broncos and the Calgary Cyclones (Calgary PeeWee Football Association). When he arrived to Toronto at the beginning of high school, he started out with the Birchmount Park Panthers (Toronto District Secondary School Athletic Association) before joining the Trinity College Bears (College of Independent Secondary School Athletic Association) in Port Hope, Ontario.

Bailey has also played with the Scarborough Thunder (OVFL) and was part of the 2015 Fox 40 Prospect Challenge. He is interested in pursuing a career in business while also seeking to play professional football. Standing at 6’0, 195lbs, he is a dual running back and wide receiver.

Advocating for football prospects one story at a time.
