Nick Succurro has played football for five years.

During his time playing time, the linebacker and receiver has played community football for the Meadow Ridge Knights, and he now plays for Pitt Meadows Marauders’ junior varsity team.

The Marauder loves to play football because of the family dynamic the game present.

“I love football because it’s a team, a family of friends. It’s the best going out on the field and knowing the game is about to start.”

More specifically, he loves playing multiple positions because it enables him to improve as an all-around football player.

“I play a lot of positions,” commented Succarro. “I play linebacker, I like figuring out and stopping the plays, as TE I like the options of blocking or running and as wide receiver I like catching and running the ball.”

He will also be participating in this year’s Fox prospect challenge, where his goals are to, “make the team and experience Fox 40 in any position the coaches feel I would excel at.”

During the offseason, Succurro trains with his teammates and attends Several camps. He’s inspired by Former Baltimore Raven’s star linebacker Ray Lewis.

“I have many Football role models but I really like watching videos of Ray Lewis. He is intense and a beast on the field.”

A typical game day for Succurro is predicated on focusing on the task at hand and visualizing himself executing his task to the best of his abilities.

“A typical game day for me includes listening to my tunes and getting in a good mindset. I get quiet and focus on the upcoming game.”
