CFC OFC Game of the Week Preview: “We need to have a perfect practice these upcoming weeks”

The Sudbury Gladiators of the Onatrio Football Conference suffered a huge 45-1 loss against the Huronia Stallions in their Week 6 game on June 28.

The Stallions were consistent throughout the entire game, whereas the Gladiators only managed to produce a single point in the second quarter.

After the loss, the Gladiators are relying on wins in the upcoming weeks to secure a playoff position.

“[We need to have] a perfect practice these upcoming weeks,” said linebacker Jesse Brear about reaching the playoffs.

Brear also believes that the defence needs to focus on attention to detail and getting their heads in the game for the remainder of the season.

Week 7 brings the Gladiators a bye before heading into the home stretch of the regular reason.

“Hopefully we get out on the field a couple of times, but mostly we recover and recouperate,” commented Brear about the team’s plans for the week.

The junior varsity Gladiators also experienced a loss this weekend, losing 28-5 against the Huronia Stallions.

This upcoming Sunday (July 6) the junior Gladiators will travel to face off against the Vaughn Rebels at 12pm.
