This will be based off their individual and/or team performance using verified stats. The awards will include:

The offensive and defensive players will be judged on their individuals stats while the linemen will be selected via a) stats for the defensive linemen and b) overall offensive team performance and number of total yards gained for offensive linemen. (We will include Special Teams players in honorable mentions should they gain our attention.)

Candidates must be attending and enrolled in a credited high school program. This will not include Cégep players, they will be identified in a separate, but similar, format on a weekly basis.

CFC High School Players of the Week (3)

On the season, Tremblay is 111 completions out of 164 attempts for 1862 yards to along with 20 touchdown passes to 2 interceptions, and also has 3 touchdowns on the ground. Defensive Player

Name: Bronson Wilkie
Position: Linebacker
School Team: CFC50 Bellerose Bulldogs
Year: Junior

L 20-16 v. Austin O’Brien – Wilkie caught our attention earlier in the season, however, in a losing performance, Bronson – a.k.a Sasquatch – had 13 solo tackles and 4 assists. Any time a defensive player has 17 tackles in a Canadian game, you know they were all over the field. On the season, Sasquatch, has 33 solos, 10 assists, 1 QB sack, and 1 FR. We would like to see more film on this young man!

Sam Steele #65 (Photo credit: Cornelia Naylor)

Lineman

Name: Sam Steele
Position: Defensive lineman
School Team: CFC50 St. Thomas More Knights (Burnaby)
Year: Junior

W 15-8 v. CFC50 Terry Fox – In an emotional game that was dedicated to STM’s head coach who recently passed away, Steele was all over the field as he registered 15 tackles and 5 QB sacks. This performance helped the unranked Knights defeat the No. 1 ranked team in the province, 15-8. What’s even more impressive is that the 8 points that were surrendered was the first touchdown that Steele’s STM defense has surrendered this season heading into the mid point of the season.
