CFC 100 recruit believes path to success at Laval

Sherbrooke defensive back becomes ninth CFC 100 to join RSEQ team’s 2015 class.

Kevin McGee wants to stay on the path of excellence.

As a result, the 5’9, 200 pound defensive back from Sherbrooke, Quebec recently became the ninth CFC 100 to commit to the Laval Rouge et Or.  McGee will join the team for the 2015 RSEQ season.

“I chose Laval because they can help me a lot at school,” explained McGee of his decision.  “The gym is perfect, their installations and the coaching staff are really good and I love the city too.”

“The head coach [Glen Constantin] can help me in many aspects of my life and keep me on the right track.”

The CFC 100 defensive back (who will play at safety with the Rouge et Or) completed his CEGEP career with Division 1 team, Champlain-Lennoxville Cougars.  This past season, McGee recorded two sacks, caught five interceptions, deflected nine passes and registered 45 tackles.

With McGee’s commitment, the Rouge et Or have nine CFC 100 recruits. The others include defensive end Mathieu Betts, linebacker Cedric Lussier-Roy, quarterback Samuel Chenard, defensive back Louis-Philippe St.Amant, defensive end Marc-Antoine Ouellet, defensive lineman Vincent Desjardins as well as offensive linemen Pierre-Karl Lanctot and Samuel Thomassin.
