CÉGEP10 RANKINGS (4): Saint-Jean continue their climb to the top 5

1. André-Grasset Phénix (4-0)
Chalk up another 46-32 win for Andre-Grasset, and another four touchdown throws for CFC60 Jonathan Senecal against Garneau. Nobody has been able to keep up with their high-powered offence, now we have to see if they can keep up their crazy production.

2. Vieux Montréal Spartiates (4-0)
It wasn’t the exact gameplan they had in mind, but the Spartiates were able to prevail 31-28 over Vanier in a tight overtime contest. Alexandre Dagobert was the hero for Vieux-Montreal carrying the ball 24 times for 179 yards and one touchdown.

3. Ch.-Lennoxville Cougars (2-2)
The Cougars are still trying to find their footing in 2018, and a massive 41-15 win over Limoilou was a great way to get back on track after a tough loss to Andre-Grasset. Felix Petit came up huge with a defensive touchdown, while Felix Lussier-Roy led the way on offence with 71 yards on 12 carries with a touchdown.

4. Vanier Cheetahs (2-2)
It’s been a tough couple of weeks if you’re a Vanier fan, but an overtime loss against the Spartiates was a better finish then they experienced the week before against Saint-Jean. CFC60 Benjamin Labrosse scored a return touchdown, and Kevin Foster Verdier ran for 184 yards on 18 attempts. For those wondering, Vanier and Champlain don’t play until the end of October, so we’ll have to wait for an official diagnosis between these two programs.

5. Saint-Jean Géants (2-2)
We’ve got a fast riser on the list, and not many would’ve picked the Geants to breakthrough after an 0-2 start to the campaign. But they aren’t messing around after another huge 49-27 win over CNDF led by Arsenault Edouard, who caught 10 passes for 110 yards and one touchdown. They also got a defensive touchdown out of Carl Marchesseault.

6. Garneau Élans (2-2)
It was never going to be easy to keep up with Andre-Grasset, and Garneau gave it their best crack in a 46-32 defeat. Quarterback Tristan Blais had an amazing game along the ground with 17 carries for 141 yards and three touchdowns, but it wasn’t enough to track them down on the scoreboard.

7. Notre-Dame-de-Foy (2-2)
This was a statement game for CNDF going up against a surging Saint-Jean squad, and unfortunately they fell 49-27 in a high octane matchup. CFC60 Vincent Carbonneau did his part once again catching seven passes for 168 yards and one touchdown, but they couldn’t match the ridiculous pace set by the Geants on offence.

8. Lévis-Lauzon Faucons (2-2)
Sometimes you just need to go have some fun, and that’s what Levis-Lauzon did in their 57-16 blowout over Lionel-Groulx. Adrien Guay likely earned himself player of the week honours with six touchdown passes, one rushing major, and 353 combined yards.

9. Lionel-Groulx Nordiques (1-3)
It’s been rough sledding the last two weeks for the Nordiques, and they couldn’t find any relief in their blowout loss to the Faucons. Aubry Charles finished 18/26 for 193 yards and two touchdowns, but that simply wasn’t enough to match Adrien Guay on this day.

10. Limoilou Titans (0-4)
There’ll be light at the end of the tunnel at some point, but for now Limoilou remain as the only winless team in DI after a 41-15 loss at the hands of Champlain. Samuel Latouche scored on a 73 yard long bomb, but that was about the only positive to take away from week four.

Advocating for football prospects one story at a time.
