Montreal running back joins RSEQ team’s 2016 class
Widler Exilus simply couldn’t pass up this chance.
The 5’10, 210 pound running back from Montreal, Quebec committed to the Concordia Stingers. Ā Exilus will join the team for the 2016 RSEQ season.
“The opportunities and privileges that Concordia University was offering me was beyond any other offers so I decided to visit the school and when I went up there I was very impressed,” explained the offensive standout of his decision.Ā āItās a pleasure to be a part of the 2016 class and I expect to be an impact player with Godās help and my future teammatesĀ Just Go Stingers, Go Stingers.ā
Exilus comes to the Stingers after completing a stint with CEGEP Division 2 team, Beauce-Appalaches Condors. Ā During the regular season in 2015, Exilus racked up 436 rushing yards (average of 5.4 yards per carry) and 28 passing yards (average of 14 yards per pass). Ā Moreover, he had 198 rushing yards (average of 7.1 yards per carry) and 26 passing yards (average of 8.7 yards per pass) in the postseason.
Previous to the Condors, the running back played for both Saint Leonard Cougars and Jean-Grou Jaguars. Not only has he played at the running back position but also as a linebacker and slotback.
