Guillaume Trottier is on cloud nine these days.

That’s because the 5’9, 180 pound defensive back from Saint-Étienne de Lauzon, Lévis, Quebec has realized his ultimate gridiron dream by committing to the Bishop’s Gaiters.  Trottier will join the team for the 2016 RSEQ season.

Previous to the Faucons, Trottier suited up for both the Levis College Commanders and Cle-du-Boise Ouragans.

After his commitment, the defensive back issued the following statement regarding his commitment:

“It’s an opportunity that you can’t refused and it’s a dream for every football player to play at this level.”

“I choose Bishop’s because it’s the University that gave me the best feeling, the player, the coaching staff are very friendly and the sports complex is awesome and I think that it will be easier for me to increase my english skills and for my adaptation because it’s not a big University.”

“This is going to be a nice challenge to study in english but it doesn’t scared me because the organisation keep the attention on school and the players can help me if I have difficulties.”

“If we talk about football, The Gaiters is a very young team and can only be better with years. Another factor is that I know some players in this team that I played with and one of them is one of my best friends. The biggest factor of my decision is that I think that I’ll be more than a number in this organisation and I feel that I can bring something to this team.”

“I’ll do everything to have time on the field, maybe I’ll have my chance on the special teams to begin. I know it’s going to be hard but I’ll give everything I got to be a better player and help this team to be better too.”
