Windsor defensive back joins OUA team’s 2016 class

The Carleton Ravens have announced the addition of Robert Herzog to their football program.

Herzog, the 6’0, 200 pound defensive back from Windsor, Ontario will join the team for the 2016 OUA season.

“Robert is an elite athlete that will play in our secondary next year,” commented Ravens Head Coach Steve Sumarah.  “Having him join us in January will help him get acclimatized for the 2016 season. “

“We are very excited to have Robert be a part of the Ravens program.”

Most recently, Herzog completed a stint with JUCO team New Mexico Military Institute Broncos.  Previous to JUCO, the defensive back suited up for both the Holy Names Knights of the Windsor and Essex County Secondary School Athletic Association (WECSSAA) and Essex Ravens of the Ontario Varsity Football League (OVFL).

During his career, Herzog has received several honours including WCSSAA All-Star selections (2012, 2013), Fighting Knights Defensive Player of the Year (2012, 2013) and OVFL All-Star (2010).
