Canadian REC John signs NFL contract

Years of hard work paid off for Canadian receiver Rysen John out of Simon Fraser, who signed as an undrafted free agent with the New York Giants.

John jumped on the NFL radar after attending the College Gridiron Showcase and Hula Bowl this past offseason due to a great senior year that saw him catch 53 passes for 861 yards and 10 touchdowns. It also helps to stand out in a crowd when you lineup at 6-7, 237lbs. John spent his high school career at Vancouver College before signing with the Clan, and will attempt to join fellow alumni Nathan Shepherd, who currently suits up for their inter-city rivals the New York Jets after being selected 72nd overall in the 2018 NFL Draft.
