Cambridge recruit newest Gryphon

Cambridge offensive lineman joins OUA team’s 2015 class.

Erik Bierman will be beginning his CIS career in his home province.

However, he will be moving to a different city.

Recently, the 6’5, 275 pound offensive lineman from Cambridge, Ontario signed with the Guelph Gryphons.  Bierman will join the team for the 2015 OUA season.

Overall, the comfort level and bonds he made within the football program were the decisive factors.

“In the end, it was all because I feel I will be most at home there,” commented Bierman of his commitment.  “It also has to do with the great relationships I developed with the coaching staff.”

“It’s a football program that has nowhere to go but up and I’m excited to be a part of it.”

Bierman has played for both the Jacob Hespeler Hawks of the Waterloo County Secondary School Athletic Association (WCSSAA) and the Cambridge Lions of the Ontario Varsity Football League (OVFL). This past season, he recorded 4.5 sacks as well as 20 assisted tackles and 12 solo tackles while he played on the defensive line.
