Dawson has played for the Schoenhal Titans and his high school team, St. Joseph Guardians of the Saskatoon Secondary School Athletic Directorate (SSSAD).
During his time with the Titans, he was named the team’s Defensive Player of the Year.
Throughout the offseason, the Guardians standout has been training hard to remain in peak form.
“I train through the off season with Ignite Athletic Conditioning,” says Dawson of his training regimen.
Additionally, the Guardians defensive back has been able to success on and off the field due to the support and motivation of a couple of individuals.
“My parents and coaches have been influential in both football and life,” expresses Dawson.
While he is a couple of years away from graduating high school, Dawson has already given some consideration as to career aspirations. Ultimately, football will play a significant part in his life.
“For the future, I hope to move on in football and go to play CIS and then later move to play in the CFL,” comments the Guardians defensive standout.
Dawson has not given much consideration to where he will attend post-secondary school, as his focus is currently on the upcoming fall season with the Guardians. However, he is satisfied with how the recruitment process has gone so far.
“Having scouts and coaches watching and evaluating definitely has made me a little nervous but I was excited to have this amazing experience,” reflects the Guardians defensive back.
Overall, the game has given Dawson the recipe for continued success in his quest to achieve all his goals on and off the field.
“From football, I have learned to fight through adversity and always stay calm when things get rough,” says Dawson. “It has shown me to play as a teammate and work together with a large group of guys all relying on the others to get your back.”
