Calgary offensive tackle commits to NCAA’s Oklahoma State Cowboys (VIDEO)

With NCAA Signing Day just one day away, Shane Richards has decided where he will continue his gridiron career.

This afternoon on Twitter, the 6’7, 335 pound offensive tackle from Calgary, Alberta announced that he has committed to NCAA Division 1 Football Bowl Subdivision (FBS) team, Oklahoma State Cowboys:

RIchards visited the Cowboys just over two weeks ago. With his commitment, he will be the second Canadian to sign with the Cowboys tomorrow.  #CFC100 CLASS 2016 ranked linebacker Amen Ogbongbemiga committed to the Cowboys last summer.

Among the other offers he received included ones from  Idaho Vandals, Troy Trojans, Buffalo Bulls, Southern Miss Golden Eagles, Southeastern Louisiana Lions and Akron Zips.

Although Richards is a native of Jamaica, he moved to Calgary at the age of 12.  Among the teams he has suited up for during his career include Crescent Heights Cowboys of the Calgary Senior High School Athletic Association (CSHSAA) and Calgary Colts.

Most recently, the offensive tackle finished up his career with JUCO team New Mexico Military Institute. Furthermore, Richards has represented his country as a member of Team Canada’s under-19 squad.
