Calgary Division 1: CFC TOP 100 Chow leads Pride to victory

In the opening week of Calgary Division 1 high school action defending league champions Notre Dame Pride won the rematch of last year’s division final.  The Pride cruised by Henry Wise Wood Warriors 31-3.

CFC TOP 100 Tyler Chow led the Pride to victory as he scored two touchdowns.  Xavier Ramsay and Clay Flack also had majors for the victors.

Quarterback Colton Hunchak had a passing touchdown for the Pride.

Colton Burr and Marco Scafidi each caught an interception in the game.

In other action, St. Francis Browns got by the Bishop O’Byrne Bobcats 18-11.

Receivers Noah Williams and William Maxwell each connected with quarterback Duncan Little for majors.

Defensive back Sam Kiminski and defensive lineman Zack Urquhart played a huge role in the Browns success on the field.  Kiminski batted two balls while Urquhart recorded two sacks for the winners.

As for the Bobcats, running back Imroshi Dania rushed for over 100 yards while Michael Sherman had a 50 yard touchdown.

In the third game, the Centennial Coyotes chomped on the Bishop Grandin Ghosts 49-3.

Dallas Boath scored two majors while Truman Wilson, Brody Newell, Evan Dutton and Brandon Luitwieler each had a touchdown score.  Coyotes quarterback Hunter Guenard had three passing touchdowns in the victory.

Jared South led the Coyotes defense with three sacks while Mason Johnson and Reid Collins also played a key role in the win.

Ghosts kicker Ryan Steele put the team on the board with a successful field goal attempt.
