British Columbia DE up to 13 NCAA offers, official visit on tap (VIDEO)

Jonathan Kongbo is high in demand these days.

Since CanadaFootballChat.comā€™s last article on the 6ā€™6, 260 pound defensive end from Surrey, British Columbia, he has picked up more NCAA Division 1 offers and an official visit is on the agenda in the coming days.

Back on November 3rd, Rutgers Scarlet Knights offered Kongbo.Ā  If Kongbo opts for the Scarlet Knights, one of his future teammates would be #CFC100 CLASS 2016 top ranked Patrice Rene.

Then, Mississippi State Bulldogs came up to the plate and gave Kongbo an offer on November 9th.Ā  Just hours ago, the defensive end received his 13th offer from California Golden Bears.

Additionally, it was announced on twitter that Kongbo has an official visit scheduled with Tennessee Volunteers on the weekend of November 27th. The Volunteers previously offered on October 21st:

Earlier this month, 247 Sports declared that the defensive end as the top ranked JUCO player.

Other offers Kongbo has received include Oregon State Beavers (November 2nd), Arizona Wildcats (October 22nd), Nebraska Cornhuskers (October 25th), Washington Huskies (October 28th), Louisville Cardinals (October 29th) as well as ones he received earlier in his recruitment process from Auburn Tigers, Middle Tennessee State Blue Devils, Ole Miss Rebels and South Florida Bulls.

Currently, Kongbo is playing at the JUCO level with Arizona Western College Matadors.Ā  Previous to the Matadors, the defensive end suited up for with the Holy Cross Crusaders of the British Columbia High School Football Association (BCHSFA). Ā For his exceptional play on the field in 2013, Kongbo was named a Provincial ā€˜AAā€™ All-Star.
