CFC100 Rourke commits to Ohio

CFC100 QB Nathan Rourke will be headed off to play Division 1 football at Ohio University as announced on social media today.

It has been a long, arduous journey for the 6’2, 215 lbs QB Rourke who has been around the block these last three years. Originally from Oakville, ON, he played for the Holy Trinity Titans and then went to Edgewood Academy where they won the AA Alabama state championship. From there, he had 2367 passing yards in 11 games, and 18 touchdowns with 13 interceptions in the Kansas Jayhawk Community College Conference at Fort Scott Community College.

After speaking with multiple schools such as UCLA, Rice, Missouri, and FAU, Rourke made the decision the Ohio Bobcats was the right fit for him. He recognizes some of his earlier coaches from Canada such as Larry Jusdanis from Football North prep and mentions the impact that Coach Jusdanis had on him from the start and states that the coaching staff at Ohio was a deciding factor for him.

With four years to complete three of NCAA playing eligibility, Rourke has hopes of being the starting quarterback for Ohio in 2017.
