Brampton recruit hopes to make impact with Lancers

Brampton wide receiver joins OUA team’s 2016 class

Anton Matthews will be commencing his CIS career in his home province.

Recently, the 6’0, 215 pound wide receiver from Brampton, Ontario committed to Windsor Lancers.  Matthews will join the team for the 2016 OUA season.

“Windsor offered me the best opportunity to not only play but also to remain at my actually position,” expressed the offensive standout of his decision.  “Giving me the opportunity to play my first year if a work hard, even the fact that they weren’t bringing a big recruit class appealed to me.”

“They just renovated their locker room and being able to go away for school would be a great experience for me. With the coaching staff they have there I feel like i can make an impact. Also, two of my coaches went there and they had a great experience so I feel like I could too.”

Matthews completed his high school career with David Suzuki Grizzlies of the Region of Peel Secondary School Athletic Association (ROPSSAA).
