Brampton recruit feels Mount Allison is “best fit” (VIDEO)

Brampton defensive back joins AUS team’s 2016 class.

Matt Watson will continue his career in New Brunswick.

Recently, the 5’11, 175 pound defensive back from Brampton, Ontario committed to Mount Allison Mounties.  Watson will join the team for the 2016 AUS season.

“I committed because I felt it was the best fit for me and they have been a top team in recent years,” explained the two-way standout of his decision.  “I really like Coach [Scott] Brady and what he is doing with the program, also the systems that Mount Allison runs are a great fit for my skill set.”

“Outside of football, I really like the size of the university and the small class sizes.”

Watson helped the Notre Dame Knights win the Region of Peel Secondary School Athletic Association (ROPSSAA) Tier 2 Championship. He was also a running back during his time there.
