Bison integrity (VIDEO)

Oakbank kicker recently commits to local CIS team.

Improvement and integrity were decisive factors in Ryan Jones’ choice of where he would begin his CIS career.

Recently, the 5’10, 205 pound kicker from Oakbank, Manitoba committed to the Manitoba Bisons. Jones will join the team for the 2014 CWUAA season.

“I chose to come back to Manitoba because of the integrity of the program,” said Jones of his commitment.  “Another big reason was because of the major improvement in not only facilities but the perceived commitment by the coaches and players alike to a winning environment.”

“Winnipeg is also my home and I am happy to be able to have the support of my family and friends for this coming season.”

Jones comes to the Bisons after completing a stint with the Vancouver Island Raiders of the British Columbia Football Conference (BCFC) in the Canadian Junior Football League (CJFL).

Previous the Raiders, the Manitoba kicker played for the Transcona Nationals.
