Bishop’s want to ‘do something special’

Gaiters add teammates from Nova Scotia to their 2018 class.

When the 2018 season commences, defensive back Tyler Webster and linebacker Donald Blue Jr. from Sir John A. MacDonald High School will be adding their talents to a budding Bishop’s Gaiters team.

Tyler Webster

When Tyler Webster looks at the Gaiters, he sees potential in the team’s future. “The coaching staff and the team, they all want to rebuild and do something special and that’s something I want to be apart of,” he said. “The coaches seem amazing and I think they will teach me a lot and push me to be the best player I can be.”

When Webster was eight, he began a lifelong obsession with football. He played with the Timberlea Titans until high school. He stopped playing in grade ten and eleven, instead electing to participate in soccer at the Canada Games. In grade 12, the allure of the gridiron was too much to ignore and he was back on the field with the SJAM Flames (Nova Scotia School Athletic Federation Football League). He is a former special teams MVP and league First Team all-star.

Webster, who is 6’0, 160lbs, is from Timberlea, Nova Scotia. He is interested in a bachelor of arts.

Donald Blue Jr.

Donald Blue is from Hubley, Nova Scotia. He also played with the Flames in high school as a middle linebacker and fullback. He is 5’9, 200lbs.

Advocating for football prospects one story at a time.
