Beefeaters make additions to Coaching Staff


The London Beefeaters are pleased to announce that former player Tom Cudney will be joining the Beefeaters coaching staff as quarterback/receiversā€™ coach for the 2010 season. Tom played for the Beefeaters from 1976-1979 and was a four-time Schenley Award (O.F.C. All-Star) winner in the Ontario Football Conference.

Following his Beefeaters career, Tom signed with the Kansas City Chiefs of the NFL. He also played in the Canadian Football League and the United States Football League.

Tom has an extensive football coaching resumƩ in both Canada and the United States at the high school, junior, university and professional level. In the U.S. he has coached in NCAA and NAIA schools.

Tom will be working with returning Beefeaters Head Coach Brad Winder, the Coach of the Year in the Canadian Junior Football League in 2009.

To date the Beefeaters coaching staff includes; Rob Annen, defensive line coach; Tim Thomson, offensive line coach; John Hudson, linebacker coach, new running back coach Nick Teall, new defensive backs coach and Beefeaters alumnus Mo Chams and Jim Ousley, co-quarterback/receiver coaches.

Joining this group during training camp, as guest coaches, are ex-Toronto Argonauts Jude St. John, London Laurier S.S. Head Coach and Waterloo Warriors alumnus Jon Kublinskas, London John Paul II C.S.S. Head Coach and UWO Mustangs alumnus Mark Chortos and London Conference and Western Bowl champion Mother Teresa C.S.S. Head Coach Kevin Barnes.
