BC High School Notable Performances: CFC 100 Walker bright spot in loss

BC HIGH SCHOOL NOTABLE PERFORMANCES:

  • Notre Dame RB Adam Turrin kicked a 25-yard field goal with 11 seconds left in the game to lift his team to a 24-21 win over Handsworth and solidify a playoff spot.
  • W.J. Mouat LB Dion Pellerin led his team with seven tackles in a 48-20 win over Rutland.
  • Abbotsford QB Jordan Fox threw for 170 yards and connected twice on touchdown passes to REC Chase Claypool in a 14-12 win over Mission.
  • CFC 100 Mission RB Jesse Walker rushed for 158 yards and two scores in their 14-12 loss to Abbotsford.
  • Vernon LB Brad Hladik recorded eight tackles and three sacks in a 38-0 shutout win over Duchess Park.
  • Hugh Boyd QB Tyler Moxin scored on two runs in their game against Pitt Meadows. The game was suspended with Hugh Boyd leading 14-6.
  • Carson Graham QB Mike Worthen went 28 of 40 for 376 yards and seven touchdowns, and also threw for five two-point converts in their second half comeback win for 53-48 over Nanaimo District. Meanwhile, LB Flynn Heyes led the team with seven tackles and a sack.
  • Vancouver College RB Richard Jarin and RB Ovie Odjegba each rushed for over 100 yards in a 48-27 win over Belmont. Jarin, who had a 42-yard rushing score and a 42-yard touchdown reception, finished with eight carries for 11 yards. Odjegba, who had a 53-yard rushing major, finished with 11 carries for 115 yards.
  • Belmont QB Brendan Holland went 37-of-57 for 513 yards and four touchdowns in a 48-27 loss against Vancouver College.  REC Court Boice caught three of Holland’s touchdown passes and had 16 receptions for 157 yards.
  • Lord Tweedsmuir RB Caleb Abraham carried 30 times for 230 yards and a score, andRB Colton Zayshley had ten carries for 102 yards and three touchdowns in a 28-0 shutout win over Kelowna. On the defensive side of things, DL Brad Mawson recorded ten tackles, three sacks, and a fumble recovery.
