Bantam predators score early

London, ON – The visitors from Twin City scored early and often to defeat the home team from London, at Westminister secondary. After the game started late, due to a high scoring Peewee game between London and Oakville (Thunderbirds 52, Titans 8), the predators used a steady and consistent run game to wear down the home team.

It was the Thunderbirds who scored first, capitalizing on a turnover on downs from twin city, when #32, Sean Vogan, scampered 45 yards to the end zone on an off tackle running play. The convert attempt was unsuccessful and the score was 6 to 0 at 10:14 of the opening quarter.

The predators went on to score 32 unanswered points before the end of the half. Scorers were:
#9, Issaac Macdonald – 3 TDs
#21, Gordon Maidment – 1 2-pt convert
#22, Joedey Wonch-Castiglione – 1 2-pt convert
#85, Eddie Porter, 1 pt convert

The second half saw the home team start the same way as the opening half, this time with 2 rushing touchdowns, both by #38, Braeden Sinclair (one was an 85 yard effort). Both convert attempts were unsuccessful.

The thunderbirds appeared to have scored their 3rd touchdown in a row when #54, Tyler Hawke, stole the ball from the predator running back and returned it 100 yards for the touchdown. Unfortunately, a rough play call during the run back nullified the effort by Hawke.

The final quarter saw the teams trade touchdowns, with the predators #22, Wonch-Catiglione scoring and #38, Sinclair scoring his third touchdown of the game for London. Final score 38 to 24 Twin City.
