Awesome privilege

Regina running back becomes second CFC TOP 100 player to commit to CWUAA’s 2014 class.

Atlee Simon will continue to play in front of the hometown crowd.

However, it will be on the CIS stage.

The 6’0, 195 pound running back from Regina, Saskatchewan has committed to the University of Regina Rams for the 2014 CWUAA season.

“After a long process of searching through my options I came to the conclusion that University of Regina  will be the best fit,” explained Simon of his decision.  “I am a huge family guy and the fact that my family can be at almost every game is an awesome privilege that I wouldn’t get anywhere else.”

“I know and get along with a lot of the guys on the Rams so that chemistry is there and I know they needed a running back so I felt like it was a great opportunity to contribute to a team.”

The CFC TOP 100 running back comes to the Rams after playing for the Thom Trojans of the Regina Intercollegiate Football League (RIFL).  This past season, Simon was the league’s leading rusher as he amassed over 1,000 rushing yards and scored 16 rushing touchdowns in nine games.

Simon is the second CFC TOP 100 player to commit to the Rams as he joins defensive lineman Eric Wicijowski in this elite group.
