Atlantic Football League (AFL) expands by 2 teams


The Atlantic Football League will have two new teams. The Dalhousie Football Club, Nova Scotia and the Holland College Hurricanes, P.E.I. will join the league in 2010 (Holland college pep rally and annoucement info at bottom of page).

The Dalhousie Football Club (DFC) will operate as a ratified student society under the Dalhousie Student Union.

As a club team at Dalhousie, all team members will be students. The team roster will be composed of 100% Dal students. All players must fall within the ages of 18 – 24.

The Holland College Hurricanes will be a community-based, club team with major support from Holland College, the Community College of Prince Edward Island. The team will be open to players who meet the age qualifications who are attending Holland College, University of Prince Edward Island or are residing in the general community.

The Atlantic Football League currently consists of three teams, two based out of the University of New Brunswick’s Saint John and Fredericton campuses and a community-based team in Moncton.
