ATH Cromwell remains humble despite incredible athleticism

Athleticism is not something that comes easy, either you are born with it or you work so hard that you build it up in yourself. Terrell Cromwell is a mix of both dedication to the sport and being a natural athlete. Playing for Dartmouth HS and Team Nova Scotia U18 has helped him thrive into a dominant runner of the ball on offence and a ballhawk on defence.

Last season, Terrell had 1000 yards from scrimmage as a running back and wide receiver. Going along with those stats are 3 interceptions as a safety and cornerback.Β Playing multiple skill positions on both sides of the ball is tough to do but the 5 foot 8, 160 pound ATH has really found a niche at running back and safety.

“I like being able to make plays, if its at safety i like coming down hill and punishing receivers or if it’s at running back i like busting out big runs and to gain momentum.”

Cromwell was named to the NSSAF Division One all-star team as a running back and looks to be back there again in his grade twelve season.

The Dartmouth High athlete identified players in the NFL that he resembles his game on offence like most are LeSean McCoy of the Buffalo Bills and Darren Sproles of the Philadelphia Eagles. “My ability to make people miss and to also catch out of the backfield are huge parts of my game offensively.”

With all the hard work it’s good to have some fun as well. Cromwell was just a part of the Canada Cup and said the competition was awesome but it was good just to meet the other incredible athletes and have a good time.

The graduate of 2018 is looking towards the future and is hoping to play U Sports football. He feels that he needs to gain some more muscle in the off-season so he can add some more punch to his running game.

He knows going to the next level won’t be easy and seems very humble about his approach to University football, “As a freshman, I’m just looking to earn my spot on the depth chart and try to earn as much playing time as possible.”
