Arnprior recruit gravitated towards Queen’s “kind welcome”

Arnprior running back joins OUA team’s 2016 class.

Will Ruddy will be playing at the CIS level in his home province.

Recently, the 5’11, 195 pound running back from Arnprior, Ontario signed with Queen’s Gaels.  Ruddy will join the team for the 2016 OUA season.

“I’ve always liked and heard good things about Queen’s University and during my visits it just proves what I’ve heard is true,” expressed Ruddy of his decision.  “I was impressed with the facilities they have and the kind welcome from the coaches/players just made it feel like home.”

“I got accepted into the program I wanted (kinesiology) and getting a chance to further play very competitive football in the CIS is a dream come true.

While Ruddy is a native of Vancouver, British Columbia, he was raised in Arnprior most of his life.  Among the teams Ruddy has suited up for during his career include West Carleton Wolverines of the National Capital Amateur Football Association (NCAFA) and Arnprior Redmen of the Lanark County Interschool Athletic Association (LCIAA).
