Kyle Quinlan will be wearing a Montreal Alouettes jersey in 2013.

The Alouettes are expected to announce in the coming days that the team has officially signed the former McMaster Marauders pivot who hails from South Woodsee, Ontario.  Initially, Quinlan did sign with the team after his fourth year of CIS football. After a stellar showing at the Alouettes training camp this summer, he returned to play his fifth and final year of CIS football with the Marauders.

With the Marauders, Quinlan led the team to victory in the 2011 Vanier Cup.  For his efforts on the field, he was awarded MVP of the championship game to add with the second All-Canadian team selection that season.  Recently, the Ontario quarterback was named the winner of the 2012 Hec Crighton Award as top CIS player of the year as he led the Marauders to a perfect 8-0 season record. Moreover, he was named as a first All-Canadian CIS team in 2012.

During the 2012 season with the Marauders, the 6’3, 210 pound pivot led with 19 touchdown passes and only threw two interceptions, which ranked as a CIS low among quarterbacks. Quinlan was ranked second in passing yards per game (307.1), third in passing yards (2,407) and second in completion percentage, as he sported a new single-season OUA record of 68.9 percent.

Quinlan also led all CIS quarterbacks with seven rushing majors and was tied among the leaders with 550 yards on the ground. Additionally, he set team records for most completions (162), passing yards and touchdowns passes in a single season.
