Antony started playing football at the age of 12 with the Notre-Dame De La Trinnite Tigers. Showing his versatility on the field, Antony started his career by quarterbacking the Tigers to two regional championships (2005 and 2006). In 2006 and 2007, Antony played in the Challenge Wilson under 15 tournament, which comprises the best players (under 15) from across the province. Representing his region of Beauce, Antony was named Most Valuable Player of the tournament in 2007.

2008 was another provincial title year for Antony, playing for the Midget AAA Dragons from Polyvalente de St-Georges. Antony was named rookie of the year, and says the entire season was the highlight of his young career.

In his final seasons as a quarterback, Antony was the starter for the Champlain Lennoxville Cougars of the Collegial D1 League for the 2010 and 2011 seasons.

Just this season, Antony decided to make the shift from quarterback to wide/tight end. In his new role, he continued to flourish with the World Development team.

Still, despite his success, Antony remains humble and grounded in his roots at home. Like many players with a dedication to the gridiron, Antony credits his father for keeping him motivated.

“The people that influenced me the most in football are my uncle and my father,” said Antony, whose uncle is an Ottawa U alumnus. “My father is always there for me. He is the person who pushes me the most in this sport which is my passion.”

Antony is yet to commit to University, but plans on entering in the winter of 2013.

Advocating for football prospects one story at a time.
