2010 BCFC Spring Camps

The British Columbia Football Conference is pleased to announce the Spring Camp dates for all six teams.

BCFC Spring Camps give players an opportunity to hone their skills or try and win jobs just a matter of weeks before the regular season.

All six teams will be looking to fill some big holes left by graduating players. The defending champion Vancouver Island Raiders begin life without MVP Andrew Harris (pictured) and will look for another tailback to step up in Spring Camp.

The Okanagan Sun will need to determine a new starting quarterback after the graduation of Derek Mann. As well they will look for another ā€œbig playā€ receiver after Dan Turek announced he is pursuing his CIS options.

In South Surrey the Rams were one win short of reaching the Canadian Bowl last season. This year during Spring Camp they will have a special guest as the head coach of the UBC Thunderbirds Shawn Olson will be in attendance. The Rams are hoping to have most of their personnel returning.

The Victoria Rebels will be on the hunt for two offensive threats after quarterback Yannick Rickli (pictured) and Tyson Takasaki will not be returning. On the defensive side the Rebels have lost Jake Farley and Chevy Judd

The Kamloops Broncos begin building towards a winning season and will be looking for a number of players fighting for jobs. The Broncos have a number of players returning and are hoping to have all of them in Spring Camp.

In Chilliwack Luke Acheson begins his first full season at the helm and like Kamloops will look for a number of players to step up and win positions. After the departure of Matt Peterson, the Huskers will hope to find their next star running back during the Spring Camp.

The Spring Camp dates are as follows:

Victoria Rebels ā€“ April 9-11 ā€“ City Centre Park

Chilliwack Huskers ā€“ April 23-25 ā€“ Exhibition Stadium

Okanagan Sun ā€“ May 1-2 ā€“ Apple Bowl

Kamloops Broncos ā€“ May 8-9 ā€“ Tournament Capital Centre
